The ultra-low frequency high-voltage generator is a high-voltage testing device used for conducting ultra-low frequency AC withstand voltage tests. This device is suitable for power departments and industrial and mining enterprises to conduct insulation withstand voltage tests on polyethylene, cross-linked polyethylene plastic cables, and other high-voltage electrical equipment on site. This device has less destructive power compared to DC withstand voltage tests and is equivalent to AC power frequency withstand voltage.
From years of theoretical and practical experience both domestically and internationally, it has been proven that using a 0.1Hz ultra-low frequency withstand voltage test instead of a power frequency withstand voltage test can not only achieve the same effect, but also greatly reduce the size and weight of the equipment. In theory, the capacity is about one fifth of the power frequency, and the operation is simple, making it more superior than power frequency tests. That's why developed countries generally adopt this method. The National Development and Reform Commission has formulated the industry standard for the ultra-low frequency (0.1Hz) withstand voltage test method of 35kV and below cross-linked polyethylene insulated power cables.
